Keep Moving to stay fit

Those few active steps of moving around will take a long way.

Hello people with a sedentary lifestyle, make use of every opportunity to visit the farthest washroom or water dispenser so that you can keep moving.

These days smart watches are so common. Even if you do not use one, your mobile phones which you carry around all the time, will have apps that keep track of your steps and movement. I remember from my childhood days, my grandfather who was pretty old and frail from a stroke he had, used to count his steps and set a goal to achieve daily.  So as the saying goes, “Where there is a will there is a way”.

Do you drive? Where do you park when you reach a mall? I always tend to look for the parking closest to the lobby. I should try not to. The whole idea of this web page is also to motivate myself and set practical goals. I tend to spend a lot of time in front of my computer on days that I don’t have a reason to step out. On such days I quickly go for a one km walk in the community where I stay. It helps to get fresh air and get my legs moving.

I have my mom who is old and has recovered from a heart attack. I keep telling her to do chair exercises. There are so many of them in YouTube if you want to try. Just to keep moving your hands and legs without physically moving around, instead doing them while seated.
